JOHNSON VALLEY, CA (April 23, 2012) -- The U.S. Marine Corps is still considering taking away most all this famous OHV area in southern CA, and we need your help to stop this takeover.
This video tells the story, but rest assured we’ve made substantial progress in working to educate folks of the importance of Johnson Valley. But more work and help is needed. You can help us be proactive.
Several motorized recreation organizations have banded together to produce a unified effort under the banner of the California Motorized Recreation Council (CMRC), a non-profit association comprised of OHV leadership and diverse groups. You can read more about CMRC here on the CMRC website.
Obviously we support our military, but we know that they can find someplace else to train. The “decision” paperwork should hit our hands in mid-May, so in the meantime, do what you can. Visit the site http://www.savethehammers.org and do what YOU can to help US stop this unnecessary takeover of our dedicated OHV land.
