Memorial Notice - Lyla B. Schumann
Lyla B. Schumann, 72, of Manitowish Waters, Wisconsin, died August 10, 2006, at her residence. She was born November 16, 1933, in Chicago, to Oscar and Lyla Broms.
Lyla retired after 35 years as a bank officer. She and her husband moved to the Northwoods, Wisconsin, 12 years ago from the Fox Lake Area.
Lyla was the current Treasurer of the Antique Snowmobile Club of America and the Northern Hornshoe Trails of Lac du Flambeau, and past Secretary of the Manitowish Waters Sno-Skeeters. Lyla and her husband were both active members of the BlueRibbon Coalition (BRC) and the OHV community. She will be sorely missed.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Schumann, who currently serves as Vice President on the BRC Board of Directors; three sons-Bill Junior of Palatine, Illinois; Bryan, of Delevan, Wisconsin; and Brad, of Arlington Heights, Illinois - as well as five grandchildren; one brother, William (Marge) Broms, of Niles, Illinois; one sister, Cyrilla Kambick of Foley, Alabama; and nieces and nephews.
Donations in memory of Lyla Schumann can be made to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society and the National Muscular Sclerosis Society.
