WYOMING - Shoshone NF Extends Comment Period on Draft Forest Plan and DEIS

The Shoshone National Forest has extended the comment period for the Land Management Plan Revision Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS).  The comment period now ends November 26, 2012. An official 90-day comment period began on August 4, 2012, but with continued public interest and requests for an extension, the Shoshone National Forest has decided to lengthen this comment period.  During this additional time, the public is encouraged to continue to submit substantive comments, which may be used to modify alternatives, evaluate new alternatives, improve or modify the analysis, and make factual corrections.

The Shoshone National Forest has extended the comment period for the Land Management Plan Revision Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS).  The comment period now ends November 26, 2012.

An official 90-day comment period began on August 4, 2012, but with continued public interest and requests for an extension, the Shoshone National Forest has decided to lengthen this comment period.  During this additional time, the public is encouraged to continue to submit substantive comments, which may be used to modify alternatives, evaluate new alternatives, improve or modify the analysis, and make factual corrections.

The draft documents are available for viewing at local public libraries and at Shoshone National Forest offices in Cody, Dubois and Lander. Compact discs or hard copies of these documents may be requested from the forest supervisor's office at (307) 527-6241 or email to shoshone_forestplan@fs.fed.us. They are also available on the Shoshone National Forest's website at www.fs.usda.gov/detail/shoshone/home/?cid=stelprdb5379153.

MONTANA - Custer Gallatin NF Forest Plan Revision June Public Meetings Announced

CALIFORNIA - Public Invited to Rasor Off-Highway Vehicle Area Tour and Comment
